BIO:

VP of Getting Shit Done at Oakland Coffee

1. Oakland Coffee is all about kick starting your day. What is your morning boot up sequence?

I roll out of bed and have a long cuddle session with my pup. Then I have a long cuddle session with my coffee.

2. What’s off the table prior to drinking coffee?

My pre-coffee brain isn’t equipped for the outside world. Coffee first, then we can go places.

3. What’s your coffee order/ how do you take it?

I swap between Cerro De Oro and Father of All Dark Roasts. Black, always!

4. What’s your coffee brewing set up? (Give us a rig rundown)

I’m a French Press + burr grinder kind of gal. It’s quick, easy, and allows me to brew an exorbitant amount of coffee for just myself.

5. Sunset or Sunrise?

Sunset!

6. Are you reading, listening or watching anything interesting?

I just finished the latest season of Ear Hustle. Hands down the best podcast around.

7. What inspires you?

Seeing people work through the chaos and noise to do what they believe is right. In a world that is so often discouraging, it’s inspiring to see folks still trying to make a difference.

8. Any new habits or hobbies?

I’m trying to get back into running. I’m currently in the “everything hurts” phase. Hoping to get to the “everything hurts only some of the time” phase soon.

9. Where were you born?

Los Angeles

10. Has your coffee routine changed throughout your life?

I’m Italian, so I started drinking coffee as a toddler. It’s been a steady go since then. I guess phasing out milk and sugar in my coffee has been the biggest change.

11. One breakfast food you can’t live without?

Give me a classic diner breakfast any day. Especially Ole’s Waffle Shop on Alameda!

12. Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. With work, relationships, mental health. All of it.

13. Hot or Cold Shower?

Hot. Like skin melting hot. That’s the good stuff.

14. If you could have coffee with one person dead AND alive who would they be?

Ella Fitzgerald and Rupi Kaur

15. What do you have coming up that you're most looking forward to?

Seeing live music again, especially at all of the rad independent venues around the Bay.

Never Run Out of Our Damn Good Coffee
